Evolution CMS - Ruby Content Management System Update

Many of you have been interested in our Ruby CMS "Evolution", which is currently under development. Although previously halted due to time, and funding constraints, we have not discontinued development.

When the time is appropriate we will be seeking the community's effort in order to push Evolution even further than the Alpha release. Until then, we will attempt to keep you all up to date on the progress.

Core Technologies

• Built on Sinatra / Rack
• Specification written using RSpec
• JavaScript specifications written using JSpec
• jQuery in core
• jQuery UI in core
• DataMapper ORM
• rext gem for ruby extensions

Features Added

• Inline Editing for aspects such as adding / removing user roles, assiging roles, etc.
• Evo executable; say goodbye to Rake, as Evolution ships with its own executable packed with goodies for managing applications.
• Modular via "packages". Every aspect of both core, and vendorized packages may be overridden at the application level. This includes overriding theme stylesheets, routes, and more.
